SURGE is more relevant now than ever.

“I’ve never voted in any election before for a variety of reasons. When I watched SURGE I was moved to vote for the first time in my life. I am so happy Showtime is putting women politicians front and center.  I think our entire future depends on listening to women leaders, most specifically from the BIPOC communities. SURGE makes it clear that if you aren’t listening, get out of the way.” —Lee Taylor

We talked about how best to support women of color in their campaigns for office in tough districts (like many areas of Indiana) and the importance of running again after a loss. One guest said: “My loss was a win!” showing that the work of building grassroots campaigns lives beyond a single campaign - no matter if you win or lose!
